Grief has an amazing ability to make someone feel isolated and alone but I work with clients to discuss their grief and find healthy ways to remember those they have lost. I often work with clients to talk about their grief and their loved ones, working for them to gain an understanding of their grief and to find ways to move forward.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed School Counselor. I have spent most of my adult life working with high school students in many different capacities and am passionate about helping our youth develop strong healthy coping strategies and supports for them to use for the rest of their life. I do love to work with people of all ages pulling strategies from CBT, DBT, Trauma Informed, Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to help my clients gain confidence in themselves. I will also work with parents and children to find a structure that supports all members of the home better. I am happy to meet with clients in person or virtually.
When meeting with kids I often use play or art therapy in The Therapy Tree Gym or even go outside to engage kids and I spend quality time building a solid rapport with them.
In my free time, I enjoy Yoga, working with Therapy Animals, or watching TV and Movies.
