Beginning therapy can be a life-changing experience that requires a safe and empathetic environment. Thankfully, I have found through my years of experience that the trickiest part of embarking on that journey is often deciding to ask for help, so good news – you’re already on the right track!
I am a Licensed Social Worker and have a background of working in a variety of settings with youth, adolescents, young adults, and families. My experience includes helping people to work through hardships such as depression, anxiety, dysfunctional communication cycles, criminal involvement, trauma, and so on. Most of my experience has been spent with youth and I am
therefore very knowledgeable about topics such as peer and family relations, Individualized Education Plans and 504 plans, diagnoses such as ASD, ADD and ADHD, as well as behavioral concerns.
I believe that everyone has the power to build a life they desire and thus utilize a strength-based approach throughout my services. Additionally, I am fluent in CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, mindfulness, and behavioral therapy. With youth, I like to incorporate play and art therapy strategies to help build rapport and create a space that feels most comfortable.
In my free time and in order to keep my own mind at peace, I enjoy doing yoga, baking, skiing, and spending time with my two dogs.
