Brooklyn Porter

MA SLP-CF

Speech Language Pathologist

Hey there! I am Brooklyn, M.A. SLP-CF. I am new to the Therapy Tree and excited to be here! Yo hablo español e inglés y puedo brindar servicios en ambos idiomas! I recently moved here from Utah last year, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University and acquired my masters degree from Utah State University. After exploring a few different majors, I found my passion in speech-language pathology and couldn’t be happier with that decision. I love working with individuals across the lifespan (pediatric to geriatric) and have a passion for helping others find their voice. I have treated clients with a wide range of diagnoses, including Down syndrome, voice disorders, autism spectrum disorder, stroke, traumatic brain injury, speech sound disorders, cognitive-communication disorders, and fluency disorders.

I love learning and exploring new research. I am dedicated to providing the best evidence-based therapy in my practice and meeting the needs of families/clients in a collaborative based approach. I strive for excellence in my work and have no greater joy than when I can assist in making a difference in a client’s life. Building strong relationships and helping clients develop the skills they need to communicate confidently is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Outside of work, my husband and I have been married almost 4 years! He is currently in medical school and (when he isn’t studying) we enjoy going for walks and spending time outdoors with our dog. My hobbies include water sports, hiking, snow skiing, reading Jane Austen, and drinking hot chocolate.
