Our groups are an important part of the services we provide at The Therapy Tree, LLC. Groups provide social and emotional support to families in different ways. Children gain social skills, self confidence and learn to have fun with their peers. Parents find support and learn from each other in parent groups.

Specialized Reading Therapy Groups Many children may be struggling in reading and spelling but are not identified through the school as requiring additional help. Children of Divorce Groups On Saturdays, children from 5-8 and 9-12 can participate in groups that will teach them how to address issues related to divorce all while having fun, making friends, learning new skills and playing! Learn More

Socialization Groups for 1-3 years For children with autistic or P.D.D. like characteristics who have severe problems with socialization and often have a high activity level. An experience including individual Theraplay®, sensory integration and peer interactions is effective in enhancing self esteem, trust in others and joyful engagement. Learn More

Socialization Groups for 4-6 years A unique socialization group for children with the characteristics of Autism ages 4-6. This highly effective group combines Theraplay® and Sensory/Handling techniques with an emphasis on socialization skills. Learn More

Social Skills Training Groups On Saturdays, children from 5-8 and 9-12 can participate in groups that will teach them how to interact with same aged peers, personal space/boundaries and much more all while having fun, making friends, learning new skills and playing! Learn More

Child'Space Child'Space classes at The Therapy Tree, LLC are led by Carol Bettendorf, PT, MS, PCS and Rebecca Cain, OT. Both Carol and Rebecca have completed Chava's 2 year, 300 academic hour training course and are Certified in Child'Space. Child'Space – the Chava Shelhav method helps parents and caregivers support their child's healthy development especially during the critical period from birth to the stage of independent walking.
